Lit Talk

Matou Amar is a rising honors Senior attending Howard University, majoring in English and minoring in TV/Film. She is a dedicated writer who won the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) American History Essay Contest in her area in 2023 and recently spoke at the 2026 Macksey Symposium at Johns Hopkins University. She aspires to create stories, whether in book or screenwriting form, that empower diverse voices and, overall, make impactful change with her work.
