Join Lit Society for an evening inspired by The Odyssey—a story of ambition, endurance, transformation, and homecoming that continues to shape how we think about identity and greatness today.
We'll begin with cocktails, light bites, and a live conversation featuring special guests author Natalie Lemle, actor Jelani Alladin, Editor-in-Chief of The Commonwell Journal, K Hank Jost, and host Sena Adjei. Together, we'll explore why myths endure, what makes a hero compelling, and why we're still captivated by stories of journeys, reinvention, and return.
Throughout the evening, guests will respond to a series of guided writing prompts inspired by Greek mythology, epic quests, legendary characters, and modern ideas of greatness. Whether you're an experienced writer or simply someone who loves stories, the prompts are designed to spark creativity and imagination.
The evening concludes with a live pitch session where attendees will have the opportunity to share their favorite story concept from the night. Our panel of judges will select one winning idea and award the title of Epic Story Champion.
Think of it as part literary salon, part creative workshop, and part celebration of the stories that continue to shape us.
